Available to rent is a single bedroom with private bath in a nice 3 BR 2.5 BA Townhome in The Orchards neighborhood of Blacksburg.
Available to move in as early as 8/1/25. Flexible dates through August and possibly late July.
This is ONE bedroom... within a 3BR 2.5 Bath townhome. Even though there are 3 bedrooms, there is only one other person living in this house. The third bedroom we have used for guests/storage.
The Master bedroom downstairs is occupied by the other tenant. A male graduate student at Virginia Tech. He is very kind and is happy to meet with anyone before you sign the lease.
Some more details, the townhome is unfurnished (the images are taken with some of my furniture, which will be moved out). Large living room and kitchen downstairs, with laundry just off the kitchen. There is a half-bath downstairs as well. Th gas fireplace in the living room works great and really heats up the house in the winter. The Master BR Suite is also located downstairs.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (the larger of which is the one that you would be renting) with a shared full hallway bathroom. The bedroom has a walk-in closet. Like I mentioned, you will have the entire upstairs to yourself. The smaller upstairs bedroom we use for guests and storing things in the closet. So you still have a private bathroom with a shower/tub, toilet, and vanity.
1 car garage, with a driveway out front. Small lawn is maintained by the HOA, and there is a little deck in the backyard. Neighborhood is quiet, mostly townies and graduate students, not far from Tech, and less than 10 min walk to a bus stop that comes every 30 minutes.
Total rent is $1870, split 975/895 because of the Master suite being a bit larger and having the private attached bath. Utilities range from around $100 per month. There is a $40 application fee to Raines when you apply.
Lease does not allow pets unfortunately, and there is a strict no undergrad policy. Neither of these rules are mine, they are Raines', so there is no leeway there, sorry.
